 Rooms

Our church building is for the use of the community, and we welcome opportunities for its use other than direct religious purposes. The ground floor area is divided into two separate areas:

1) The Fellowship Centre, directly accessible from the main front door. This is an open space, with access to a recently refurbished kitchen, and two separate toilets (one suitable for disabled). (Very) approximately 8m x 6m of usable space. Portable tables and chairs are available for use as required. It's especially suitable for children's parties, but we have also seen various clubs and groups here during the week.

2) The main body of the church has been converted into a carpeted area, with moveable seating. There are separate PA systems for speakers (with wireless microphones) and musicians (mixing desk at rear). This allows it to be used for concerts etc. We have held many events ranging from indoor markets, Christmas tree festivals to classical music concerts here. Rental of the main church area includes full access to the Fellowship Centre and kitchen above.

Both options are available for hire with or without heating. This reflects the high costs of heating such a large area, and preheating it even for what may be a short event. Where heating is required, our underfloor heating will automatically be switched on in advance to preheat the room, and turn off when no longer required.

Where the use of the building is for a more specifically business (or profit-making) purpose, different charges apply.

  1. Discounts may be available for regular hirers or very frequent users.
  2. * Where use is for charitable/fundraising purposes lower rates (£10.00/hour) may be negotiated although the flat rate £90.00 would still apply for a heated church.
