Children and Families
Due to coronavirus we have had to suspend a lot of our children’s activities, we will continue to update this page with what is currently running.
At St Saviour’s we welcome and value families and children. We believe that the early years can be very important in helping children to develop a life-long relationship with God. We aim to teach the Bible to the children and create a safe environment for them to explore and reflect upon it. We encourage questioning and wondering, and pray that the children form a firm foundation of faith during these years. We have a dedicated youth and children’s worker, as well as a team of volunteers. The church has a commitment to safeguarding and each volunteer has a DBS check. Our groups for children are:
Toddler Group on Wednesday mornings, 9.45–11.15 a.m. during term time.
This group will be running after Easter but, due to restrictions on numbers due to Covid-19 we ask you to prebook. Please follow our facebook page to find out more: https://www.facebook.com/Stsaviourstoddlers
Our toddler group starts with play, a range of different toys and a craft table.
Later there is singing and a story.
We are able to serve teas and coffees again but do bring a snack and a drink for your little ones if you wish to.
We celebrate Christmas, Easter and the end of the school year with a party. We welcome all children and their carers; there is no charge but donations are welcome.
We are happy to be able to work with our three parish schools, whether it be making toast and chatting in the Sanctuary at St Mark’s School, delivering assemblies or Open the Book at St Saviours Church School or working with Foundation governors and chaplaincy team to support the schools in other ways.
